“Life worked out” is a joke from the early 1990s, and a poster from the mid-90s.
First, the joke:
A New Russian is passed out at a restaurant table, face-down in a bowl of black caviar soup.
A friend walks in, sees him, comes over, slaps him on the shoulder, and asks:
– So, Seryoga, how’s life?
He lifts his bleary eyes, wipes the caviar off his face:
– Life worked out.
The poster in the picture was unveiled to the public on March 17, 1997. Its author was Andrei Logvin. For those who don’t know: the text is spelled out in letters made of black caviar, on a background of red caviar.
