The 750 and the B10 Alpina

BMW 750 (referred to in the text as «the seven-fifty») is the flagship executive-class model, the 7 Series sedan. This full-size model sits at the top of BMW’s lineup and is traditionally known for outstanding dynamics and lavish equipment.

Alpina is a German automaker that has worked closely with BMW since 1965. The company specializes in deep modifications of standard BMW models, creating exclusive versions with improved performance. It was founded by Burkard Bovensiepen, originally as a maker of tuning kits for BMWs.

In 1978, Alpina was officially recognized by Germany’s Federal Motor Transport Authority as an independent automobile manufacturer. Since then its cars have carried their own vehicle identification markings and are no longer considered simply modified BMWs.

The B10 Alpina, mentioned in the text, is a reworked version of the standard BMW 5 Series. Distinctive features:

  • A significantly upgraded engine with increased power and torque
  • Retuned suspension with distinctive damping settings
  • Exclusive alloy wheels with a signature multi-spoke design
  • Signature exterior trim: an aerodynamic body kit and blue/green accent stripes
  • A luxurious cabin finished in high-quality materials
  • An exclusive exhaust system with a distinctive sound

Alpina cars are considered rarer and more exclusive than standard BMWs, and even than BMW’s own M-series models. They’re aimed at true connoisseurs who value a combination of high performance and maximum comfort.
